King Abdulaziz Airport: Functional and Luxurious with Sustainable Features.

The design of the King Abdulaziz Airport focuses on creating an airport that is efficient and functional while also providing a sense of grandeur and luxury to its passengers. The main terminal building is a striking piece of architecture that features a wave-like roof that appears to be floating. The roof is made of an intricate lattice structure that allows natural light to filter through while also providing shade. The building’s interior is equally impressive, with high ceilings, polished marble floors, and a neutral color palette that exudes sophistication. Additionally, the airport’s vast corridors are designed to provide passengers with plenty of space to move around and relax while waiting for their flight. The airport’s design also incorporates sustainable features such as efficient cooling and lighting systems and the use of recycled building materials, in line with the Kingdom’s modernization efforts that prioritize environmental responsibility.
